7th February 2020

The children all had a great number day in mixed-age groups, rotating around different classrooms completing a variety of number related activities. As well as some children dressing up as numbers there were also some fantastic rock star costumes. Well done Year 4

Author Visit  - Steve Skidmore

5th February 2020

Local Children's Author Steve Skidmore came into school to talk to the children in KS2 about the importance and enjoyment of reading. He shared some of his stories and invited some of the children to act them out. Mr Sargisson and Miss Gillet also got the chance to be NINJAS!! The children absolutely loved it and were all extremely enthusiastic about his books. Some of the children in year 4 also took part in a workshop where they had to create their own superheroes and villains for a story.

Graeae - Iron Man Performance

November 2019

The children had a great morning at the Pork Pie library watching a wonderful performance of The iron man, Ted Hughes’ classic modern-day fable about a giant Iron robot.  This new adaptation by award-winning writer Paul Sirett was brought to magical and compelling life by Graeae; created specifically for school audiences, performed in local library settings. Featuring captivating puppetry and playful storytelling the production also integrated British Sign Language and audio description.


Roald Dahl Day

September 2019

The children all had a fun filled day in mixed-age groups, rotating around different classrooms finding out about a different Roald Dahl story and completing a related activity. There were some absolutely amazing costumes. Well done Year 4
