Fixed Point Photography
We have installed three fixed point photography stands to help monitor how the site changes over time.
The slideshow above shows images from a fixed point photography stand which faces out onto the water body. It shows how the site has changed through the construction of a recycled plastic boardwalk and the creation of an erosion barrier. A thick layer of duckweed which covered the pond is removed. The final image shows the water body partially frozen and a layer of frost covers the boardwalk and vegetation.
The slideshow above shows images from a fixed point photography stand located at the back of the boardwalk, facing the steps and southern bank of the ravine. It shows the rotten boardwalk which was subsequently removed, the recycled plastic boardwalk just after construction and the boardwalk and vegetation covered in a layer of frost.
The slideshow above shows images from a fixed point photography stand which captures the boardwalk and the eastern bank of the ravine. It starts from an image of the previous boardwalk which had rotted. The next image shows where the previous boardwalk had been removed and the foundations of the recycled plastic boardwalk are visible. A thick layer of duckweed covers the pond. The next image shows the recycled plastic boardwalk in place and the final image shows the boardwalk and bank covered in a layer of frost.
