Recording Wildlife

We are creating a record of the wildlife captured within the ravine using iNaturalist. Visitors to the ravine can download the app and record any wildlife they spot. The records will automatically be included within the project 'Montrose Ravine: Education and Conservation'.

You can explore the wildlife we have recorded so far by following the link below:

Monitoring Changes to the Ravine

We are keen to monitor how the ravine changes over time. To create a record of the changes, we have installed three fixed point photography stands. These allow visitors to the site to take photos from exactly the same angle over different visits so we can see clearly the changes which are happening within the ravine.

Local Wildlife Groups

We are keen to work with local conservation and wildlife groups over the course of the project. If you are part of a local wildlife organisation and would like to discuss becoming involved in this unique conservation project, please email office@montrose.leicester.sch.uk with 'FTAO: Ravine Project Manager' in the subject line.
